John and Mary Anne McKerrow will be joined by Michael McAvoy to perform a collection of Broadway favorites.   Only the noon performance includes a lunch box.

Performers’ Bios

Mary Anne McAvoy McKerrow

Mary Anne has appeared locally at the Naples Players in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Anything Goes, Mame, I Do! I Do!, The Secret Garden and Little Shop of Horrors. For Shakespeare in Paradise she has portrayed Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, and Titania, Queen of the Fairies, in A Midsummer Night’s Dream as well as Seton in Macbeth, A Love Story. New York credits include command performances at the Friars, New York Athletic Club, The Players, The Lambs and for The Military Order of the World Wars. Mary Anne has appeared in commercials, Regional Theatre and Off-Off Broadway. She currently teaches and does costume design for The Naples Players’ KidzAct program.

John McKerrow

John is Founder and Producing Artistic Director of Shakepeare in Paradise. His local directing credits include Doubt, Rabbit Hole, Mautitius, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, and The Tempest. John’s acting credits include Benedick/Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth/Macbeth, Demetrius/A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Richard/Lion in Winter and Many more. John studied Shakespeare at Southern Connecticut State University and at HB Studios in Manhattan with Edward Morehouse. He has worked Off-Off-Broadway, on tours, in regional theatre, on television and in national commercials. John and Mary Anne have performed together as McKerrow Productions in many fine homes, clubs and venues in Naples, New York City and Connecticut.

Michael McAvoy

UConn graduate Michael McAvoy earned his degree in Vocal Performance studying under Dr. Constance Rock. He won first place in Opera Theatre of Connecticut’s Amici Vocal Competition, and later played Curio in their production of Julius Caesar in Egypt. With his agile lyric baritone voice he most enjoys singing the role of Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, which he performed with Vocal Productions NYC and Opera Oggi.  He has also worked with Connecticut Concert Opera, Light Opera of New York, Bronx Opera, and Opera Naples, where he participated in their Young Artist Program. Michael also enjoys singing musical theatre and has performed locally in musicals with the Naples Players. He also starred in the title role of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which he performed locally with Hedwig Naples LLC.
