The Marco Players, an 83-seat not-for-profit theater, is the oldest community theater on Marco Island.  The Marco Players is known for bringing talented directors, actors and loyal volunteers to the theater.  A friendly little theater where everyone involved has a great time and is empowered to practice their craft and develop their skills.

The Marco Players are known for their main productions.  Each main production is licensed through a well-known publishing house and features 15 shows and one preview night which is designed especially for theater volunteers.  The main productions have spanned from comedy, mystery, dramas to love stories.  The Marco Players have a strong portfolio of actors and directors and are always on the look-out for new talent who would like to become part of our Marco Island community theater family.

The Marco Players offers a Lunchbox Series which offers a noon-time show and a boxed lunch.  The lunchbox shows offer a friendly opportunity to enjoy a one-act show while eating lunch and have some discussion and Q&A with the actors after the show.

The NEW Reader’s Theater requires only a few rehearsals and a passion for theater; yet, it requires none of the frills such as costumes, make-up, or props.

Marco Island may get a little hot and rainy in the summer, what a great time to enjoy the cool, dry comfort of our intimate community theater! Summer productions have included double feature one-acts, improv comedy, and a showcase of songwriters.  We’re always changing it up, so you’ll never know what summer will bring.

The Marco Players collaborates with area groups to bring a wide variety of shows to the stage.  Groups who frequent The Marco Players Theater stage include: The Marco Island Shakespeare Festival, Square One Improv, J.Robert Florida Fiddler Show, Shakespeare in Paradise and WOW Improv. The Marco Players welcomes groups to contact us to discuss a collaboration agreement.

For years, The Marco Players has been a place for young actors and actresses to develop their confidence, public speaking and knowledge of theater and the arts.  A variety of shows showcasing the talent of school-aged students have performed on stage and reviewed rave reviews from parents, teachers, and community members.  The Marco Players Theater welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with school groups and theater programs.
