Elvis: 1968 Comeback Special – Encore

By Joe Marino

In 1968, Elvis Presley stunned the world and proved that he still had what it took to be the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. In ’68, he filmed what is known as the famous “Comeback Special,” and reignited his career.  NBC will mark the 50th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s ’68 “Comeback Special” to air on February 17.

Featuring the now legendary black leather skin-tight suit, and three of his original musicians, Elvis performed live in the round, before a studio audience. Revisiting a wealth of his old hits that helped to shape rock ‘n’ roll, Elvis and his musicians created pure magic on stage.

See it at The Marco Players Theater performed by Southwest Florida’s own – Joe Marino, and his award-winning band, All the King’s Men. Performed live, in the round just like the famous TV special, featuring the exact instrumentation, costuming, and songs, this is one hot show that is not to be missed! This show includes a box lunch.
