In a remote estate in the countryside of Connecticut, Jack Brooks, one of the most accomplished and eccentric painters of his generation, awaits the imminent arrival of his art dealer. But the visit is not a standard one, for Jack feels wronged, and he is intending to kill the man. As Jack lays out his intentions for the evening, his wife, Annie, calmly paints. She is reluctant to go along with the plan, until Jack’s threat of violence convinces her otherwise.  Winner of the 2000 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Play. The Suburban News called it, “A scintillating hit with thrills and chills and some wonderful humor…”  This play may contain adult content and language.

Director’s Bio

Jim Corsica was most recently seen on the Marco stage as Falstaff in Shakespeare In Paradise’s production of The Merry Wives of Windsor. Previousally Mr Corsica was seen on TMP stage as Ralph Bellini in The Last Romance and Juror #3 in 12 Angry Jurors. Other favorite roles include Selsdon in Noises Off!, Stage Manager in Our Town, Daddy Warbucks in Annie and Tito in Lend Me a Tenor, all for the Naples Players. This is Jim’s third directorial appearance for TMP, having previously directed Art and The Interview.
