Become A Hospitality Volunteer

Hospitality volunteers create a welcoming, professional and memorable theater experience.

If you would enjoy making a guest’s experience at the theater memorable, your help is needed to greet, usher and seat guests and then set up and serve intermission refreshments.

  • Sets up table with tablecloth, trays, doilies and cups for each performance
  • Counts out needed playbills prior to greeting and seating patrons
  • Organizes refreshments (wine, cookies, napkins, sodas), stocks ice
  • Prepares food cart, podium and table

Meet Our Hospitality Volunteer Coordinator

Carolyn Burger retired to Marco Island, FL after completing 30 years as a teacher, Director of Special Education and Elementary Principal in northeast Ohio. She and her husband, Ron, feel very blessed to have found Marco Island. They enjoy sports, music, the theatre, and the cultural scene here in southwest Florida.

Carolyn began taking painting classes in 2001 and is now a professional artist, known for her colorful paintings of local wildlife, beach scenes and Florida landscapes. She has recently begun to create more abstract paintings which she finds quite stimulating as well as a lot of fun. She enjoys volunteering and working with people in our community. Carolyn presently volunteers at Tommie Barfield Elementary School, the Marco Players and serves as a board member of the Marco Island Foundation for the Arts. You will also find her in local art shows and special art events.
