On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson - In this delightful and touching comedy, Norman and Ethel Thayer return to Golden Pond for their forty-eighth year. Their annual summer idyll is interrupted by the appearance of their divorced daughter who has brought along her new fiancé and his teen-age son. Norman and Ethel are to provide this “grandson” with a place to stay while the happy couple visit Europe. The surprised Thayers learn grand-parenting on-the-job and by summer’s end are pros.
